N.I.C.E.I.C

The National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting was set up in 1956 to protect consumers against the hazards of unsafe and unsound electrical installations. The N.I.C.E.I.C. is a non-profit making body and a registered charity.

A Complaints Procedure is operated where complaints about the technical or safety standards of work carried out by Approved Contractors may be investigated. If complaints are upheld the work is rectified under the Guarantee of Standards Scheme, at no cost to the consumer.

All work completed by an Approved Contractor is covered by the N.I.C.E.I.C.’s Complaints Procedure and Guarantee of Standards Scheme.

Using an Approved Contractor costs no more than using a non-approved contractor and consumers have the peace of mind that the installation will be safe.
